Rock Garden

An errie place and wild place this one, taken on Cape Woolamai on Philip Island. Was originally there to get the sunset but that turned into a non-event but was happy enough with the light and conditions

    Note bad Andrew!

I reckon I would like to see a little more light on the left hand wall of rocks as the sun looks like it is off in the top right hand corner and it looks a bit funny where the foreground is bright and yet the left hand side is shaded.

Some nice colours in there as well mate.

  3. Nice Andrew. I agree with Mark and I also feel the sky could be lightened just a little bit. The fore ground is great!

  5. Great capture AB, love the detail, patterns in the rock & sky. The orange lichen is beaut. Also the image is just slightly over sharpened.

    Cheers,

  6. I reckon this is one of the best I’ve seen in blogland for ages Andrew. Well done mate. Looks like Lord of the Rings type of landscape!

  9. that spot is the equivalent of our Sugarloaf Rock. The only bad thing is you have to walk a bit to get there. I went there with Tommy Putt once. Given the right light it would be awesome.

    • Is it a fair walk after dark Fletch. I’ve heard of a couple of dudes on pushies getting out there but pedalling through some of those sand dunes would good fun……

  10. Plenty of detail in this image AB, I think it looks great and has lots of atmosphere to it.
