Victoria’s Desalination Disgrace

What is wrong with this image?

Probably a few  technical issues but I didn’t spend heaps of time on it as is won’t be a keeper.

The main problem is this –

This image was taken with a 17mm lens but on the large file the desalination outlet structure on Victoria’s beautiful Bass Coast is very promenant and is only about 500metres or so off the coast!. This image is to demonstrate to those with cranial rectal inversion or never leave the safety of their air conditioned homes and offices and feed on government propaganda, that there is actually an environmental cost and scar, not to mention the physical cost of a desalination plant. Rather than look to reuse water and capture storm water and a myriad of alternatives, the government goes and wrecks this magnificent coast line, spends billions of dollars, increases energy consumption to run the bastard and subsequently increases everyones electricity and water bills rather than investing a lesser amount towards more sustainable and appropriate solutions to achieve the same result. That is what I call a disgrace and standing on the beach looking at the thing leaves a sour taste in your mouth, hence this post.
