Big Fella

Took me a long while to find a suitable location to attempt to capture the grandeur of the boab. On my last night in the Kimberley, I think I found it. Not the biggest around but beneath the best backdrop and lit up by the dusty sun this big fella looks quite stately.

  3. Great shot Andrew, I really like this.
You guys are all giving me so much inspiration at the moment as to how to take shots without always having to have the entire scene or in this case tree in it.

    • Thanks Andrea, sometimes less is more when it comes to composing an image

Top work AB – gotta love the Boabs and that range ! I think I know this actual tree (if not a similar one) and the blah blah range – together they are simply stunning ! I may well have shot this scene on 35mm velvia back in ’97 – ouch, feeling old !

    • Thanks Tone, didn’t get to this spot in ’98 with the Pentax 35mm neg’s but certainly glad I did this time….
