Rainforest Cascade
Been to this location many times (one of my local favourites) and took Tony Middleton up for a look. This time though took a very handy photographic tool……gumboots……so more exploration was possible off the beaten track although it was wet with constant drizzle. Difficult shoot really, cleaning lens’, frozen hands and a wet arse…….plus a leech ear ring at one point but it was all worth it as this place is magic. Standing in the creek of icy water I captured this scene.
Looks like a top little spot AB.
The description of what it was like there doesn’t sound so good though. 🙂

It is a beautiful little spot Merv, just could have used some waterproof pants to go with the gumboots…..

Ditto on Merv’s comments Andrew! I hate leaches!

Not a massive fan either Mark, not sure why, they don’t really do any harm most of the time but they um……suck

Thanks Tone, it was a good outing, got a couple that I’m working on at present, not sure where they’ll end up as yet.

Yes, gumboots are a must have accessory for these type of images. Up here in the tropics, Dunlop Volleys are the go but down south…. brrrrrr!
good shot Andrew!

Thanks Tim, needed the gumboots for Liffey Falls the other week!

Beautiful image Andrew, isn’t it funny how something can look like paradise but be pretty harsh in reality 🙂

Nice pic, sometimes you have to go the extra mile to get the shot you want. Love the green and clarity of the fern.

Thanks for stopping by and commenting Benji. Good adventure in going the extra mile even if the images don’t turn out so well
