Driving around some of the back country dirt roads of southern South Australia I noticed these paddocks and came back later that day as the sun was setting. I do love an old fence post as well and these had heaps of character.

    hi! can i please use this picture on my website if I mention your name? my name is marie i emailed a few people last week regarding pictures but lost the responses & i settled on liking yours the best anyway. i cant remember if you inparticular replied or not. im in the process in making a website for the first time, its for my mums small business making birdfeeders from home here in south australia. or if you dont want me using it i live in aldinga would you tell me of the location of the fence so i can take my own version? i just want to do the right thing by you.

    Lovely photo. My late grandparents had fencing like this on their wheat/sheep farm near Mannum. Back in the day they hand cut the posts from mallee. (The rusty, sagging barbed wire is almost always included.)
